Odyssey Preparatory Academy Opens a New Charter Campus in Sienna Hills

For parents who live in the Sienna Hills community, getting their elementary-age kids to school just got a whole lot easier. The Odyssey Preparatory Academy has opened a new campus for grades K-5 right in the neighborhood! Located at 2400 N Sienna Hills Parkway, the modern and fully-equipped building is opening its doors for the first time to welcome students for the 2016-2017 academic year.

While this location is new, Odyssey schools have been around since 2009, when they were first granted a charter by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools. Initially operating from a strip mall in Buckeye, the school quickly grew and is now composed of five campuses that serve approximately 3,000 students in grades K-12.

Among the reasons for Odyssey’s growth and popularity is its strong commitment to its Core Beliefs:

  • Every scholar matters
  • Growth isn’t always measured by test scores
  • Scholars are challenged and feel safe to explore
  • Positive communication

Every classroom and every activity is designed with these core beliefs in mind, and with a forward looking focus to better prepare students for university and beyond. Students are encouraged to try new things, even if they fail, because the learning process and the growth that comes about from it are far more important than simply getting the answers right.

Quality schools that are close and convenient are just one reason Sienna Hills is a perfect place for families. Parks, a swimming pool, and a tightly-knit community are also reasons why families at Sienna Hills love that they can relax and focus on what matters most.

Three Benefits to Buying a New Home in Buckeye

If you’re like most people, low interest rates and a strong economy have you thinking about buying a home. But many of us struggle with the question of how to make the wisest investment when it comes to real estate. Is it safer to look for an older home in an established community, or is new construction the way to go?

While there are pros and cons to both sides, here are three benefits to buying new home construction that are worth considering as you weigh your options.

  1. New = More Efficient. No matter where you live, energy bills are a big concern. The easiest and most effective way to keep your energy bills down is to buy a newly built home. All-new heating and cooling systems help ensure that you’re getting the most recent, eco-friendly technology that will last for years. And new appliances are made to run more efficiently, too.
  2. Designed for You. Our lifestyles today are different than they were 20, 40, or 60 years ago. New home construction comes with layouts that were designed with you in mind. Open floorplans make the most of spacious living spaces, and many builders have options for customizing your home with offices, additional bedrooms, or finished basements that leave room for growth.
  3. Built-in Community. One of the more intangible benefits of buying new construction in a planned community is that you are joining a group of people who bought for similar reasons, and therefore have similar values and interests. Your kids will go to the same schools and you’ll see each other at the swim club and local parks. Being part of the new community at Sienna Hills brings instant solidarity and camaraderie, no strings attached. What’s more, the long-term value of your home is protected when you buy in a master planned, covenant-controlled community.

The best way to find out if new home construction is the right choice for you is to come take a look! Tour the Sienna Hills community today and check out model homes by Richmond American Homes and Beazer Homes. Stop by the Swim Club and talk to current residents. Find out firsthand what it’s like to live in a well-planned community in a fantastic location.
